Channels Television has debunked reports published by some Nigerian dailies, saying its cameraman, Chinedu Madubuike, was arrested.
The Punch Newspaper on page five of its Wednesday, August 5, 2015, publication that the cameraman was arrested at the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Abia by some police officers, which is not true.
Clarifying the report, Channels Television said Mr Madubuike, who was covering the proceedings at the Abia State Election Petition Tribunal at the premises of Abia High Court, was only asked to stop recording.
Media houses had reported that he was whisked away by police officers, as he was covering the proceedings.
