Probe Of Osun Rigging Video Supported By PDP, APC
Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State has revealed that they are in full support for the investigation into the video that alleged the Osun governorship election was rigged.
State chairman of the party, Gani OlaOluwa told reporters that the All Progressives Congress (APC) lacked enough evidence to defend the allegation.
APC Chairman in Osun, Gboyega Famodun had challenged the state’s security bodies to investigate the said video.
Famodun had today alleged that the video was to portray the APC in bad light.
He begged that the video should be probed and said that they might have to ask governor, Rauf Aregbesola, to set up an inquiry.
Femi Fani-Kayode had released a video online saying that the Osun polls were rigged by the APC.
The PDP chairman said that his party had been vindicated with the revelation, adding “the PDP will not take the revelation lightly until justice is done”.
Mr. Olaoluwa said, “Such revealing allegation cannot be taken with levity as it bothers on the electoral process; the burden rests on the APC to prove its innocence.”
The Osun state polls was conducted in 2014, in the polls, Rauf Aregbesola succeeded in getting re-elected under the platform of the APC.
